The new Pandrol CD400SP-IQ is a Self Propelled Intelligent Clip Driver and unlike any other clipping machine. It is the only machine with multi-head clipping capabilites. All in one platform, the CD400SP-IQ will apply and remove e-Clips and fastclips. The machine will apply Safelok tie clips as well. It is fully controlled by a handheld, wireless Bluetooth remote control and possesses an 'IQ' system that collects and stores important machine data.

The operator controls all functions of the tie clipping process with a Bluetooth remote control– speed, clipping and de-clipping, engine on/off, clipping type, etc., without touching the machine, greatly increasing safety. It also has automatic tie locators on all 4 corners of the machine as well.

The CD400SP-IQ's intelligence ‘IQ’ system tracks and predicts a ton of machine diagnostics such as machine wear, maintenance schedule, engine hours, production hours, and amount of clipping and declipping to name a few, and provides machine troubleshooting. It even has a GPS modem that tracks the machine's geo location and gives access to machine vitals and diagnostics remotely.

The CD400SP-IQ applies up to 40 ties per minute with fastclips, and up to 20 ties per minute with e-clips.
