Description
Pandrol’s Matweld railroad Head Wash Grinder is a hydraulic-powered, track-mounted unit that is designed to grind the ball of the rail in preparation for a Head-Wash Repair weld (HWR).
It efficiently grinds down any defects or imperfections on the head of the rail in preparation for a Head-Wash Repair prior to thermite welding. The grinder provides a highly precise grind to complement the welding process in defect removal.
The ergonomic design allows the operator to comfortably and quickly grind the head of rail to the appropriate depth and width. The grinder is compact and lightweight which enables easy and fast set up and breakdown when on the track.
Matweld Hydraulic Head Was Grinder is 10 GPM and 2000 PSI.
